Enrollment
Students who are zoned for West Valley Middle School and have attended a Knox County elementary school for 5th grade are automatically enrolled.
Enrollment hours for students who are new to the district are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on full school days and during specified office hours on most Wednesdays during the summer months. Enrollment must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian. The following completed forms are required:

- New Student Enrollment Form
- Student Medical Profile
- Home Language Survey (only if West Valley is the student's first-time KCS enrollment)
- Tennessee Parent Occupational Survey (only if West Valley is the student's first-time KCS enrollment)
The following documents may also be needed:
- Proof of Birth: Government-issued birth certificate, passport, immigration documentation
- Immunization Records: Student Tennessee Department of Health Immunization Certificate (shot record signed by the child’s physician or county health department)

- Recent Physical Examination: Proof of a physical exam within one year of enrollment
- Proof of Residence: One of the following: gas, water, or electric bill
- If the utility bill and/or lease agreement is in the name of someone other than the parent/guardian, that individual must provide the utility bill and/or lease agreement, along with a notarized letter confirming that the parent/guardian and children reside at the address.
